Clinical Director

Position Summary:
The Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical oversight of patient care. Included in these responsibilities are (1) the development and management of a high quality treatment program; (2) the development and management of a cohesive clinical team. (3) contributing to and working collaboratively with business development on a comprehensive community relations and referral development program, (4) the development and management of clinical strategic planning, (5) efficient personnel and fiscal management, and (6) understanding and actively participating in fulfilling the mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate the transformational leadership characteristics that are consistent with the core values of the Governing Board.

Qualifications:
Required – current California Licensure as a LMFT, LPCC or equivalent. A Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or related field is required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years post-graduate training with emphasis on addictions and co-occurring disorders. A minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in individual, group or family therapy or an addiction certification and fifteen (15) years clinical experience and three (3) years supervisory experience in addiction-related field is required. Must have the training (course work, in-service, education and other on-the-job-training) to provide care to patients in the adult age category.

Business Office Manager

Position Summary:
seeking an experienced and energetic Business Office Manager. The Business Office Manager performs specific tasks related to Business Office operations and is responsible for the workflow, communication, departmental records, statistics and resources for the Business Office. The manager will also be assigned to special projects or reports and is expected to demonstrate individual initiative, exercise good judgment, discretion and the ability to work independently.

The Business Office Manager will be able to explain insurance benefits and establish payment plans with patients and their family members. Some of the business office functions for the facility are performed in our centralized business office; the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working with offsite (and/or out of state) employees to meet the financial goals of the facility.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in business is preferred but VRC will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills. Traditional candidates will likely have a combination of healthcare Business Office experience and hands on knowledge of: insurance verification, precertification, authorization, revenue capture and relationship building with payers. Nontraditional candidates might have more accounting experience and an eagerness to learn healthcare billing, collections and operations management. All candidates will need intermediate (plus) computer skills including a sound knowledge of Excel.

Therapist – Full-Time for Residential Treatment Facility

Position Summary:
The therapist provides intensive group and individual counseling services to patients with a diagnosis of addiction and co-occurring disorders. Responsible for completion of all required documentation, oversees implementation of treatment plans, has regular contact with referral sources, identifies family issues relevant to treatment, provides discharge planning and oversees all phases of care.

Qualifications:
Completion of a Master’s Degree in behavioral health related discipline and at least two (2) years experience providing individual and/or group counseling for a caseload of patients. Prefer current California license as an MFT, LPCC or LCSW.

Part-Time Housekeepers

Position Summary:
The Housekeeper maintains assigned areas in a clean, orderly, sanitary and safe condition by performing work assignments in an effective and prescribed manner. This position follows a daily cleaning schedule responds to special requests for cleaning or assistance needed, in order to maintain the overall smooth flow of work for the facility in a thorough and timely manner.

Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent required. Previous experience as Housekeeper in a patient care facility and experience with housekeeping equipment and commercial laundry, preferred. Basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics and the ability to communicate in the English language effectively orally and in writing. Ability to readily learn the use of equipment and housekeeping functions required.

Full-Time Receptionist

Position Summary:
This representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining a first-impressions environment at the front desk that is complimentary to the mission and vision of the facility. The representative provides administrative and clerical support for the admissions department, ensuring the quality of service to patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma is required, although a Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience is preferred. At least one (1) year of admitting, front office and/or business experience is preferred. Must have strong customer service skills, good phone, computer, written, and oral communication skills, an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be organized with an ability to show initiative and prioritize tasks.

Part-Time Business Office Assistant

Position Summary:
The Business Office Assistant is responsible (under the supervision of the Business Office Manager) for financial counseling of clients, correspondence documentation and financial chart audits. Performance responsibilities include: maintaining patient financial folders; explaining benefits and contractual agreements and payment plans with patients and their family members; maintaining incoming correspondence as it related to patient accounts; maintaining petty cash reconciliation and credit card reconciliation; assist with accounts payable invoices, supply inventory and supply ordering; etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma is required, although a Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience is preferred. At least one (1) year of admitting, front office and/or business experience is preferred. Experience in medical billing and patient account systems preferred. Must have strong customer service skills, good phone, computer, written, and oral communication skills, an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be organized with an ability to show initiative and prioritize tasks.

Full Time & Per Diem Mental Health Technician

Position Summary:
The Mental Health Technician functions in conjunction with the clinical team, assisting with the daily process of client care. This includes admission of clients to the unit, psycho-educational group presentations, monitoring of clients, transporting clients, communicating clients and unit issues to others on the clinical team, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred applicants will have a Bachelor’s Degree or are a Certified Nursing Assistant. A High School Diploma and experience working in the health or mental health field is required. Must have excellent writing skills, be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have an understanding of the addiction process, and be able to adjust to increased workloads.

Per Diem LVN

Position Summary:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, or designee, the LVN is responsible for providing care to the clients and providing direction and supervision to non-professional personnel in the provision of direct client care.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of five (5) years experience; preferably two (2) years of Chemical Dependency experience in addition to basic nursing experience; a current California LVN licensure or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must meet and maintain facility and unit educational requirements and annual competencies.
